Happy Sunday! We had a great time at my sister's yesterday and decided on oldie but goodie movie - Stand By Me...it's scary to see how many actors were in that movie when they were kids. Anyway, fun times and it took me away from my studio which only made me wake up this morning with such a craving to stamp...really scary what this addiction, I mean passion, I mean hobby has done to me. I'm sure I'm not alone, so I'll just leave it at that.
If you recall a couple of week's back I mentioned I was in a Hanna Stamp and shared the card I made for my partner and promised to be back to share the rest of the items. Well, the package has now arrived safe and sound in Hawaii and I can share the other items I made. I made it a book theme package and glad to hear from her that she loved it!
The first item was the Stamp out Illiteracy! card.
Next was this bookmark and library pocket. This is a photo with the bookmark inside the library pocket.
And this is with bookmark outside the library pocket.
The whole thing is pretty self explanatory but wanted to give you a little bit of explanation on how to make a library pocket, in case you've never done it before. You just fold a strip of paper in half, cut the front flap at angle as shown above and adhere on three sides leaving the angle side open so you can slide the tag in and out. The brad in the middle is actually a build-a-brad I made with polka dot designer paper. The color combo is Almost Amethyst, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.
The last item was this altered jumbo paper clip which I though she could use to clip paper or even as a bookmark.
I stamped Hanna on Almost Amethyst polka dot designer paper, with the Chocolate Chip marker I added some additional polka dots, and with the Scallop Circle punch I punched it out and an additional scallop circle. I sandwich the paper clip between both circles with a pop glue dot and added some ribbon to the paper clip.
This was a really fun swap and a fun them to work with - hope this gives you some ideas of what you can make along the lines of a book theme gift!

Two other passions of mine are cooking and baking. I fell in love with Paper Pretties Sweets for the Sweet set the minute I saw it. I love all the phrases and the images are just beyond adorable. I decided to make my first card with this set using Danielle Lound's Sketch Challenge for this week which you can find over at the Paper Pretties forum. Here's my card, Little Lovin' from the Oven.
The card base is Old Olive card stock and it measures 4" x 4". I then layered a 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" Basic Black square and on top of the 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" Summer Picnic Designer Series paper squares. For the sentiment, I layered it onto Basic Black and cut around it and then faux stitched around the edges with the White Gel Pen. I added some Black gingham ribbon, a button and a rhinestone brad on the side for some additional color.
For the main image I colored it in with Copic and Stampin' Up! markers, cut it out, layered it on top of Bashful Blue card stock and cut around it leaving a slight border...love how this makes the image pop a bit. I then cut out two scallop circles with the circle Nestabilities Dies, added some dots with the White Gel Pen, and with dimensionals placed the pie in the middle. I finished the card off by tying a Black gingham bow around the scallop circles and placed it in the middle of the card front with dimensionals.

Oh I LOVE your book theme for your swap! The pocket card is so cute and the clip is adorable!! Now see? I told Jessie...and now you.....you are all gonna enable me right into another stamp company!!! LOL This sweets card is wonderful!!!
