Happy Wednesday! Gaven is returning to school in a couple of weeks and I thought it would be fun to send him off with a little gift from his tia (that's the Spanish word for aunt). He's attending a bi-lingual preschool and thought it would be fun to make him a little book. The challenge Joni issued us all Prettie Girls this week came in handy since I wasn't sure how I was going to pull off my idea. She asked us to go to SCS Resource Page, pick a mini album tutorial, and make one. I decided to go with the Mini Accordion Album & Tin .
I made him a mini accordion book about animals. Above the image of the animals is a the word for the animal in Spanish and at the bottom is the word for it in English. I used Stampin' Up! and Gina K. Stamps for the book and on the outside is of course sweet Cooper from the Look Out World set going to school!
Here's the Tin with the Album inside.
A photo of the tine with the album outside of it.
A photo of the front of the album.
A photo of the back of the album.
For the front of the tin I stamped on of the images from What's in Your Tin? Set 2 twice, once on designer paper and once on Whisper White card stock. I cute out the designer paper piece and adhere it to the tin. On the Whisper White card stock I stamped Cooper from Look Out World set from Paper Pretties in the middle, colored him with Copic Markers, cut it out, sponged the edges and adhered it to the tin. I added some Zoo Brads to the top corners and some ribbon around the tin.
The base for the accordion album is Creamy Caramel. I used animal stamps from Stampin' UP! - Pun Fun and Zoofari; and Gina K. Designs by Melanie Muenchinger - Just So Hoppy and What's in Your Tin? Set 2 with Basic Black ink an added the names in Spanish and English Rub-Ons. I then added holes to top of each panel - I found that using a Crop-a-Dile with the accordion folded I can get through all the sections at once. I added ribbon and a brad and placed it inside the tin.

This has to be the cutest thing I've ever seen! Gaven will love it! :D
