I mentioned on my blog entry yesterday that I was going to share my take on the Swedish Collage style that Starving Artistamps put forth as a challenge. You can find all the details on this style as well as the rules on how to enter here, Swedish Collage Challenge. Along with the card, I made a matching box and so here's a photo of both the card and pillow box together.
Here's a photo of just the card - Sugar & Spice.
This style was a little bit out of the norm for me which is good because then it wouldn't be a challenge right?! I started with a 5" X 5" Whisper White square base and added a strip of Ghostly Greeting Designer Series Paper and next to it a strip of Elegant Eggplant. Across the middle I added a strip of Making Memories Spellbound Trim and attached it with staples. At the bottom of part of the ribbon I added a small strip of Elegant Eggplant car stock that I had used Martha Stewart's Drippy Goo Punch on.
For the main image I used a chipboard frame and added some pieces of Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper. On one of the corners I added a polka dot Prima flower with a button in the middle and on the other corner a button with some black Stickle dots all around the edges. I stamped cauldron from Starving Artistamps DoodleFactory Witch's Brew on a piece of Whisper White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in with Copic markers and accent it with Silver Spica Pen.
For the sentiment I used a crown chipboard added some Stickles and the chipboard sentiment - both of which I added Stickles accents. I finished it off by adding some distressing with a brush and some black ink.
Here's a photo of just the Lorelei Pillow Box.
I cut the pillow box out of Kiwi Kiss card stock and added some Making Memories Spellbound Trim around it attaching the sides together with Velcro so it can slip off and on easily. I stamped the sentiment from set at the bottom with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and st it aside. I stamped Lorelei and the hat from Starving Artistamps DoodleFactory Witch's Brew on a piece of Whisper White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in with Copic markers, cut them out, adhered them together and placed them onto the ribbon with dimensionals. To finish it off I added some details with the Black Spica pen on the hat.

Love those little Carolina touches like the stitching around the Pillow box!
