Happy Sunday! To wrap up your weekend, the H&M Design Team decided to get together for a fun Sunday Blog Hop filled with Easter and Spring projects. Since I'm the first in line to kick off this blog hop, let's get to it!
I bought a Martha Stewart's Match Box Favors kit a while back and have had this project in mind which was actually inspired by a little toy dresser my sister and I had when we were little girls. We used to put some of our Barbie's clothes and some times even hide candy...so I decided to make one similar to that out of match boxes. I'm planning to put in my sister's Easter basket along with other items I'll be sharing with you through out the month. So here it is, Match Box Easter Wishes.
I started with four match boxes. I added some flower eyelets and threaded some polka dot organdy ribbon through them to use as pulls in order to slide the boxes in and out.
I then adhered all the boxes together with double sided tape. In order to secure them together a bit more I added a strip of designer paper all the way around the boxes. For feet I painted some wooden 1" Candle Cup (you can find these in the wood craft section of your craft stores - they're typically used for miniature doll houses or for parts on wooden dolls) with double sided tape.
Here's a close up of the items I added to the top of the dresser.
All the images are form H&M Eggstra Special stamp set. I stamped them all on Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury White card stock and colored them in with Copic markers. In order to have them stand up, I made sure to leave a little tab on the bottom of each image when I cut them out. I adhered them to the top with double-sided tape.
Hope you're having fun so far and don't delay - continue your blog hop over at Dawn's blog!
I'll be back later with Monday's CAS Challenge samples as well as little box I put together.
