Happy Saturday and Happy Birthday to Taylored Expressions!who is turning one today. In honor of Cuppie's first Birthday, Taylor and her fabulous Baker's Dozen team will be hosting Taylored Expression Birthday Bash over at the SASI Blog. Make sure you stop by - there will be a release of four new sets with two new Key Ingredients Kit, challenges, and of course prizes...so you don't want to miss out!
I, along with a handful of talented ladies, have been asked to join in on the festivities (list of the other party guest is listed below). The set we're showcasing is one of the four sets being released today called
The Places You'll Go and here's what I did with one of the images/quote (you can click on the image to view it larger).
The amazing thing about this set is that it includes not only wonderful images and quotes, but it is
the 3rd stamp set in The Taylored Expressions Giving Tree Program designed to donate proceeds to a different charity each quarter. For each The Places You'll Go stamp set sold during September, October, November, Taylored Expressions will donate $7.00 to the Books for Kids Foundation.
Almost all the supplies I used for this card can be found at
Taylored Expressions store and more specifically from several Key Ingredients Kits. I love how nothing ever goes to waste with these kits! I started with a
Vibrant Teal card Base and add a smaller piece of double-sided print paper - I basically cut the piece down to the size I wanted and then cut it in half, flipped the bottom side over and added ribbon where the two sides meet to hide where I cut. To the bottom section, I added some faux stitching and to the top three Hero Arts pearls in the left corner.
Across the middle I added a strip of
Caribbean Satin Ribbon as well as a bow made out of the same ribbon. On top of the bow I added some flowers with a button in the middle. I tied all the pieces together with some hemp.
The main image I colored in with Copic markers; I cut it out on the Cuttlebug with a Pinking Circle Nestabilities; added a row of rhinestones to the rocket; some stickles to the stars and fire; and the moon I covered with Crystal Effects.
Are you ready to see some more cards/projects? Well stop by the other party guests' blog to see what they have come up with:
