Happy Thursday and welcome to another Trick-or-Treat Thursday! I mentioned in my earlier post that I was going to be sharing a project along with some invitation ideas...well another idea popped into my head which I haven't had time to put together so instead I'll be sharing the invitation ideas on Saturday and for today, just a treat idea.
If you're a member of SCS Fan Club, you probably already saw a version of what I'm about to share with you. I thought it would be fun to put a Halloween version of it together for you here on my blog. As I was shopping with hubby one day I came upon these kraft filters and right away I knew what I wanted to alter them into...a treat purse of course and this is what it looks like altered.
Everything I used here is listed below, but for now here's the tutorial.
Start by either stamping or in this casing I used Black ink with the Bella's Border Stampin' Around wheel to add the background.
I then cut off the tab on top, the side, and bottom sections along the sealed edges, making sure NOT to get too close to cut on the line.
Next I used the Crop-a-Dile to make two holes on either side of the filter, along the open end, inserted the ribbon and made the punched again.
I then inserted a jumbo eyelet in each hole and set them both with the Crop-a-Dile.
I set it aside and worked on the images, here I used Stampin' Up!'s Twick or Tweet set. I used the Pumpkin Pie Marker to color the image in and used Basic Black Marker and White Gel Pen to add the dashes around the edges.
I assembled the pieces and adhered them to the bag with sticky strip/double sided tape and once again here's a photo of what the treat purse looks like finished.
That's it ready to be filled! I'm making three for hubby's co-workers. As always let me know if you have any questions!

this is just what I needed! I've been saving a box of coffee filters for almost forever because this particular brand of filter makes my coffee taste funny, but I didn't want to dump the whole box of filters, so I've been waiting and looking for an idea on how to use them! Thanks - cute idea!
