Happy Sunday! I know I owe you some Halloween invite ideas and I promise you they're coming - hopefully this afternoon before we head out the our friends' wedding. We're really excited for our friends, this has been a year in the making and I'm sure it will all be amazing. It's also excting because not only is my hubby, Andy, in it but so is our nephew, Gaven. It's his first wedding and he's going to be the ring bearer...hope to share some pics tomorrow with you.
Being Sunday, I have my take on this week's Hope Stamps Eternal Inspiration Cupcake Inspiration Challenge (CIC28). I'm combining my project with Just Us Girls Techniques Challenge (JUGS2) which is all about paper piecing with an added optional challenge to use pink in honor of Breast Cancer .
Here's what Rachel put forth as our inspiration.
Here's what I came up with.
Every since I bought The Greeting Farm's HG Laundry image I knew I wanted to alter a clipboard. I wanted something that would be handy and I could just jot down a quick note and/or list. I just love the colors from thin inspiration piece and along with the butterflies is where I was influenced.
I used BasicGrey's June Bug Paper pad for the main strip along with Martha Stewart's Looper Edge Punch on one of the edges. I adhered it to the clipboard along with a strip of Melon Mambo Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon. I also added some strips to the handle and using Martha Stewart's Butterfly punch, I punched out some butterflies out of June Bug and Eskimo Kisses Paper Pad. I adhered the butterflies to the clipboard with glue dots and added some Baby Pink Memory Box Pearl Stickers to the middle of each butterfly.
I colored the image with copics as well as paper pieced the laundry, Anya's dress, and head band. I cut it out and adhered it to the clipboard. I finished it off by adding some pearls for earrings and stamped out To Do with some alphabet stamps along the bottom of the clipboard.
Ready for some more inspired cards? Check out what the rest of the HSE Sweeties have come up with:

Ok - so now I'm really hungry -- that cupcake looks delish! So is your project. I'm going to have to write Marie - as I NEVER look that cute, or have that somewhat smitten look on my face when doing laundry - LOL. I adore what you've done here, I'm glad you played along with us. Hope we'll see you back next weekend!
