Happy Tuesday! I intended to go to bed early last night and then made the mistake of checking out this week's Color Combo challenge over at Splitcoast (CC239 - Kraft, Mellow Moss and Whisper White) and well there was no turning back. Right away the two cards that I'm about to share with you popped into my head. I knew what sets I wanted to use and I was able to visualize the finished card and so here they are.
On the first card I'm using two Verve sets, Starstruck which I won with my hostess set I submitted for Verve's August Project Parade challenge which you can find here, Hostess Gift Set - Tea Time! and Express Yourself set. Here's what I came up with, Express Yourself.
My card base is a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" Pure Luxury White card stock and then I cut a 4" x 4' piece of Mellow Moss card stock and then adhered a piece of Mellow Moss card stock to the bottom half. I paper pierced a border around the edge of the square and then embossed a star from the Starstruck set. I also embossed the sentiment from the Express Yourself set.
The ribbon treatment I used here is a sneak peek of one of two ribbon treatments I will be highlighting in my next video. It's actually made up of four pieces and comes together so quickly. Along with the ribbon I added three halfback pearls in the corner and the card is done!
Stamps: Verve Stamps: Express Yourself and Starstruck Sets
Paper: Gina K. Designs - Pure Luxury White Card Stock; SU!: Kraft and Mellow Moss Card Stock
Ink: VersaMark Ink
Accessories: White Embossing Powder; Heat Gun; Piercing Tool & Mat; Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon; Halfback Pearls

This next card I'm showing you a sneak peek into the second ribbon treatment...I just know you'll love this one because it lends itself to so many color combinations. Here's what I came up with, Thank You Note.
I layered a smaller piece of Mellow Moss card stock onto a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" Whisper White card front. I then set it aside to work on the Kraft piece. I embossed the flower element from SU! Note to Self set with White Embossing Powder and then added a halfback pearl in the middle of the swirls. I added the ribbon and adhered the whole thing to the card front.
I then embossed the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a piece of Mellow Moss card stock and punched it out with the small oval punch. I adhered the sentiment piece onto a large kraft oval and that onto a scallop white oval. The stacked ovals were adhered to the card front with dimensionals and now this one is done as well.
I'm shooting to finish the video this week and hope to have it up for you by week's end or at the very latest early next week...I'll keep you posted!

My wish for months or maybe even a yr or two was to see alternate ideas for ribbon tying or use. This is awesome and I am so excited to see how you do this one. What a beautiful card and that tie is wonderful.
