This week's Seasonal Saturday was inspired by the fact that most money holder's I see out there were just too plain and I wanted to come up with something you could make unique and alter to fit the receiver. First thing first though, the winner of last week's Hot Cocoa Mug is...Jen from Jen's Cup of Creations. Now if you didn't win this time, don't be too sad...there's still this week and the mega drawing in a three or so weeks.
Now onto today's project. Here's a photo of it assembled.
Here's a photo of the money holder with the holder.
Stamps: Stampin' Up!: Short & Sweet
Paper: Red and White card stock; Merry Moments Designer Series Paper
Ink: Vivid Brick Red Ink
Accessories: Silk Ribbon; Cuttlebug; Nestabilities Circle and Scallop Circle Dies; Small, Large and Scallop Oval Punches; Round Tab Punch; Cording

Here's one more using Melanie Muenchinger's Hip to Be Square set.

these are adorable Carolina!! Definitely need to make a few of these! As to whether I prefer cash, gift card or a gift? Well, it's like this - if I get cash, I usually end up spending it on something totally not for me. Gifts? after receiving things like a salad shooter, cookie pans, and other non-me items - Gift card all the way!!

What a great idea! I LOVE this cute money holder.
Personally, I prefer to receive a gift card - money is just to easy to "fritter" away.

What a great idea! I can't wait to try these! As for gifts, I always have preferred the gift, but now w/the money crunch, actual currency is most appreciated.

These are just the cutest money holders ever!! I can;t wait to make one or two or three...!!! I see $$$ coworkers will love to buy these. As for the gifts, I like to receive all three, but prefer a gift given with a lot of thought put into it (handmade would be just fine) but I won't turn anything down. Thanks again for the video. Happy Holidays to you.

this is so incredibly cute - I just ADORE it-you, my friend are the BOMB!

This is adorable. I prefer gifts that are picked out for me personally, but gift cards are also nice. Thanks!
Posted by: Debbie | November 26, 2009 at 12:02 PM
I love receiving a mixture of all three! I love the personal touch of a gift picked-out or handmade for me. I also love receiving gift cards because that means I have to spend it at a store that I love. Money is great because it's the most versatile!
I love these money gift holders!

These past few years, our families have grown,so I prefer gift certificates; BUT, I shall not refuse any of the 3!
