Happy Saturday! Hope you all had a great week and settling into the weekend. I'm off to take care of some errands, but wanted to share a card with you before I do that. I mentioned a couple of days ago that along with the BasicGrey sample kits I posted in my boutique that you would get an instruction sheet for four cards. I sat down yesterday to make those and one of them was actually inspired by this week's Inspiration Challenge over at SCS (IC220). Here's my card.
I used Taylored Expressions' Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates on this card. I love how whimsical and fun this tree is and how it lends itself to so many possibilities. I stamped the top of the tree on a piece of BasicGrey's Origins paper and cut it out. I then stamped the trunk on a piece of Barely Banana card stock, ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and adhered it to the card base. I then adhered the cut out top and stamped flowers from the same set with Vivid Brick Red ink. In the middle of each flower, I added a halfback pearl.
I stamped the sentiment on Barely Banana as well and punched it out with the Designer Label punch. I added some dashes around the edges and a halfback pearl. I adhered a piece of ribbon towards the bottom and ran the bottom section of the card front through the Cuttlebug to add some texture to that section. I finished the card off by adding the sentiment and some tied pieces of ribbon to the strip of ribbon on the card base.
I will posting the other three cards in my boutique in a bit ~ you will find them HERE.
