Happy Thursday! Welcome to another fun Unity Hip Hop Thursday. Angela mentioned the other day how she feels like her week are measured from Thursday to Thursday and I so gets what she's saying now. Lately I have two Unity sets on my desk, this month's kit of the month, Together We Bloom, and this month's Stampin' Store Kit, Super Sweet & Stuck on You. For today's hop I wanted to share with you a quick tutorial on how to put a notepad holder and thought the Sew Cute subset of the Super Sweet & Stuck on You set was perfect for it. This is what I came up with.
My base is Pure Luxury Innocent Pink card stock and I'm using Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl pattern paper. I had a lot of fun with these images, coloring them, cutting them, and just making the overall theme. Here are some more close up photos, startign with a photo of the pin cushion and buttons.
As you notice, after coloring the images, I added some Crystal Effects to the pins and the cherry; added white gel pen accents to the bottom of the pincushion; and threaded some floss to the buttons. Here's a close up of the sentiment.
I punched two holes to the left of the sentiment in order to thread a pin through...this way I carry the theme through. Here's a side view where I show you the pen holder section and where I added the pattern paper.
Stamps: Unity Stamps: April KOM, Super Sweet & Stuck on You
Paper: Pure Luxury Innocent Pink and Ivory card stock; Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Accessories: Copics; Red Satin Ribbon; Crystal Effects; Cuttlebug; Swiss Dots Embossing Folder; Spellbinders Circle and Small Big Scalloped Circles dies; Sewing Machine; Floss; Pen; Halfback Pearls; Large and Scallop Oval Tag punches; Double Sided Tape; Copics
If you'd like to put a notepad holder of your own, here's a video tutorial to show you how. You can watch it below or just click on the links above the video to view it over at YouTube or Vimeo.

This looks to be quite a bit bigger than similarly-designed notepad holders that are always in the Michaels $1 section, and I really like it! Just a quick question - what size notepads are you putting inside? Also, are you going to tell us how you made that cute flowery pen, too? :)
