Happy Tuesday! Hope you're all having a great day. I'm about to step out to take my nephew to the doctor's, but wanted to sneak in here and share the project I made for this month's Guest Designer Challenge over at My Favorite Things.
This project was based on a couple of firsts for me ~ first time using my Sihouette for a project and first time putting together the adorable Poppin' Petal Treat Trio designed by Jen del Muro. Here's what I came up with.
I predominately used the MFT's October VIP Kit, Teacher's Pet VIP Collection, and some October Afternoon patterned paper. Now the challenge was to incorporate office/school supplies into our project or to base the entire project around them - I decided to do both. Here's a close up photo of the carrier.
I used staples to attach Gaven's teacher's name (he goes to a dual immersion school, so they refer to their teachers as 'maestras' which means teachers in spanish. I also used ribbon instead of the handles Jen provided and attached those with staples as well.
Jen designed the carrier to fit three boxes, I decided to go with two because I wanted to alter some post-it notes, here's a photo of those and the altered giant paper clip.
I thought it would be great for Gaven's teacher to have a place to hold her paper clips and rubber bands which are two things she is constantly using in kindergarten. I went ahead an labeled each of the boxes as such.
On one of the boxes I used the Banner Strip Die-namics Die and on the other Rounded Banner Trio.
Stamps: My Favorite Things: October VIP Collection ~ Teacher's Pet
Paper: October VIP Collection ~ Teacher's Pet; Real Red CS; October Afternoon: Report Card paper pad
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Accessories:Ribbon, Die-namics dies: Banner Strip and Rounded Banner Trio; Staples, Clips; Divine Twine; Silhouette; Giant Paper Clip; Post-it Notes; Flowers; 1-3/8" Circle Punch; White Gel Pen; Double-Sided Tape

Well, I better scoot, but thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to get back to some of your emails as soon as possible!

I do agree. Paper is one of the main trash in our office and to have this kind of holder, surely it will lessen are garbage.

Great gift set! my kids are in a immersion school, too.{french, I'm Canadian} I always find it hard to find "equal" gifts for both teachers. I may use this idea! Thanks for sharing.
