Happy Monday and hope you all had a good weekend! Between summer and planning my nephew's 6th birthday party (pirate theme this year - will make sure to share pics of all the creative stuff with you soon), I haven't had much time to blog, but this coming week is a bit better. I did manage to sit at my studio last night to work on several cards and some StampTV challenges. I'll be sharing the cards I created for the challenges with you today and the others through out the week.
The first card is for Tami's Free For All Friday challenge (STVFRITAMI1) - which is to create a Clean and Simple card that can easily be recreated in 10 minutes or less. Here's what I came up using Tami's All Occasion Tags and Happy Hearts sets.
Here are the steps to put it together.
- Stamp three hearts with red ink across the middle of the card front of a standard size card (4-14/" x 5-1/2") and add a halfback pearl in the middle of each heart. Set it aside.
- Using the Occasion Tags set - stamp the tag in brown ink; the sentiment and heart with red ink inside the tag; and cut it out. Add a pearl in the middle of the heart.
- Using Spellbinders' Grommet Tags die, cut one out of red card stock. Adhere stamped tag to it and thread some twine through it. Adhere tag to the bottom of the card front.
- Finish card off with a bow made out of twine and add a pearl in the middle of the bow - with that, you are done!

Next card is for Vicki's Mix it Up Monday challenge (STVMIMVD2) - which is to create a card based on this sketch.
Here's what I came up with using Whimsical Wishes by Theresa Momber.
Here's a close up of the sentiment.
Here are the steps to put it together.
- Start with 5" x 5" card base and add a 4-3/4" x 4-3/4" piece of patterned paper to the card front.
- Cut a 2" x 4" piece of red patterned paper and adhere it to a 2-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of white card stock by sewing around the edges. Adhere it to the card front.
- Cut a 2-1/2" x 3" piece of white card stock by sewing around the edges. Tie a piece of tulle around it towards the bottom. Cut a heart using Spellbinders Scalloped heart and adhere it to middle of the knot and all of it on the card front.
- Add pearls on each corner of the sewed pieces and set it aside.
- Stamp sentiment on a piece of white card stock with black ink and then the dragonfly with green ink (stamp off twice before stamping it on top of the sentiment). Cut it out with Spellbinders Classic Circle die and sponge with yellow ink. Cut a slightly larger piece out of white card stock using Spellbinders Classic die and using Lacey Circles die cut one out of red patterned paper. Adhere all pieces together and it to card front.
- Add pearls around Lacey Circle and with that, you are done!

Last but not least is my card for Lee's challenge from last week's Mix It Up Monday challenge (STVMONLM3) - a fun sketch challenge based on this sketch:
Here's what I came up with using the newly released The Vine set by Melanie Muenchinger.
Here's a close-up of the sentiment.
Here are the steps to put it together.
- Start with a standard size card (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") and add a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of patterned paper to the card front.
- Cut a 1-5/8" x 5" piece of patterned paper and adhere it to a 1-3/4" x 5-1/8" piece of green card stock. Tie a piece of seam binding around the middle and adhere it all towards the bottom of card front.
- Create a bow out of seam binding and adhere it to the card front on top of seam binding strip.
- Put together a hat pin with pearls and beads thread it through the middle of the bow. Finish it off with a flower in the middle of the knot. Set it aside.
- Stamp sentiment and branches onto piece of ivory card stock with green ink and cut it out with Spellbinders Classic Rectangle. Cut a slightly larger rectangle piece out of green card stock with Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangle. Adhere both together and then onto the card front.
- Stamp small flower image in the middle of the branches with red ink. Stamp the flower two more times onto Sweet Mango card stock with red ink and cut them out. Adhere flowers on top of stamped flower, add a pearl in the middle, and with that you are done!
