Happy late Friday and welcome to another fun blog hop being hosted by member's of StampTV Center Stage Alumni. This time around we all used an inspiration photo as the central theme. If you came from Carla's Blog, then you're right where you should be. If you ever loose your place you can go back and reference the post over at StampTV and hop from there.
Our inspiration photo is from Pier 1 Imports site and here it is:
I was inspired by the texture on the comforter and the color scheme of the bed set. Here's what I came up with.
Here are the steps to put it together:
- Create a side folding, standard size (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") card base out of Sweet Mango card stock.
- Cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Ivory card stock, adhere some ribbon around the middle, and adhere it to the card front.
- Stamp the flower image on a piece of ivory card stock using the tangerine ink and go over the leaves and stems with a green marker. Use Spellbinders Labels Eighteen die and cut it out. Add some yellow stickles to the middle of the flowers and set it aside to dry.
- Use a slightly larger Labels Eighteen die to cut a die out of blue card stock and run it through the crimper. Adhere it to card front and then the image on top of that.
- On a piece of blue card stock, stamp sentiment with brown ink, and cut it out with one of Spellbinders' Ribbon Banner die. Adhere it to card front and with that, you are done!
