Happy Tuesday! Meant to kick-off my Seasonal Saturday 2011 Series on Saturday, but it just didn't happen because life happened instead. Hope you're okay with it being a couple of days late...I'm already working on the one for this coming Saturday so that one should be up on time!
Today I have a fun treat holders to share with you, here's a group shot of them.
I was able to create all four holders using one empty roll of toilet paper roll and some other supplies. Here's what you'll need to get started.
- One empty roll of toilet paper
- 8" x 8-1/2" piece of Crepe Paper (use decorative scissors on the edges)
- Two 1-3/4" circles (preferably punched out of double-sided card board - white on one side; if you don't have this, white heavy-based card stock works just as well)
- Two 8" strips of twine plus extra twine for the middle of candy (The Twinery.com)
- Pearl
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Exacto or Utility Knife
- Hot Glue and Glue Stick
- Liquid Glue
- Treat
