Happy Monday! Can not believe it's been a week since I've updated my blog...I am so sorry about that. I'm trying to figure out how I can get back on a regular schedule; however, I didn't want to go another day without sharing something with you, so thought I would share a card.
The sketch is from this month's CardMaker Magazine's sketch #28 designed by Tami Mayberry and here's what I came up with.
On a side note, if you don't subscribe to this magazine and love card making, I highly encourage you to do so. Not only will you find inspiration, but will also learn some really fun techniques as well. You can go to their website, CardMaker Magazine, for all the details. I've had some really great items picked up for publication from them and in this issue I actually have a card and project which you can find pages 14-15.
Now, onto my card. Here's how it came together.
- Create a side-folding standard size (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") size card and add a 1/4" smaller piece of patterned paper to the card front.
- Cut three pieces of various sizes and matt them onto white card stock. Add a strip of ribbon and tie it into a bow, with a button in the middle of the knot and finish it off with a pearl in the middle of the button. Adhere it to the card front.
- Adhere the other two pieces to the card front and add a pearl swirl the bottom piece and pearl flower to the top.
- Stamp sentiment onto a piece of white card stock, cut it out, and mount it onto a slightly larger piece with pop dots and it to the card front...with that, you are done!

This is a stunning card, Carolina!
I can only imagine how much more stunning the card is with the addition of the pearls. What a great idea!
