Happy Tuesday! Hope you had a nice weekend and a great start to your week. Today I'm delighted to be part of a very special hop along with other members of the Gina K. Design Team. If you arrived here from Melanie Muenchinger's blog, then you're right where you should be. You can always go to StampTV to start from the beginning. The inspiration for today's hop came from Melanie Muenchinger's new book called, A Year of Flowers.
While you can make every design in the book with Melanie’s all occasion “A Year of Flowers” set, today’s samples showcase her coordinating florals, which can also be used with the book's tutorials and designs, and provide endless options and more value for your money. We are excited to share cards and projects we created using some of our favorite flower sets designed by Melanie! We love her new book and know you will too - don't miss out on getting your very own copy which you can purchase HERE!
It was hard to select just one set to use today since pretty much I love all of them, but narrowed it down to two - Holiday Basket an Spring Basket set.
Here's how I put it together.
- Start with a top-folding, standard size card (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") made out of white card stock.
- Add a 2" x 5-1/4" strip of Casual Friday Gina K. Designs Patterned paper across the middle of the card front.
- Stamp the sentiment underneath the patterned paper and add two strips of ribbon/bows on the patterned paper. Add a doily on top of the patterned paper and set it aside.
- On a piece of patterned paper stamp the small flowers from Holiday Basket set as well as the large basket and basket from the Spring Basket set. Cut them all out and add beads to the middle of the small flowers and pearl to the large flower.
- Add three flowers to the basket and it to the doily on the card front.
- Add a flower to the middle of each of the bows.
- Use a edge punches on a 1-1/4"strip of card stock, adhere un the patterned paper and then the pearls along the scallops.
- Add a bow made out of trim, add it ot the basket, and with that, you are done!
