Happy Wednesday! Wanted to share a quick card I made to send out to a friend. Do you ever just send out a card for no reason at all? A "just because" card if you will. I try to do so every once in a while and wished I was better about it. What I love about this card is the sentiment, "Hugs". Just that. Nothing more, nothing else. Here's what it looks like.
Here's how it came together.
- Start with a top-folding, standard size card (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") made out of white card stock.
- Add a 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Gina K. Designs Patterned Paper and set it aside.
- On a 3" x 4" piece of blue card stock stamp the image and sentiment. Color the image in and pierce a border around the edge. Adhere it to a piece of brown card stock 1/4" bigger and it, to the card front.
- Add pearls to the middle of the flowers.
- Finish it off with a paper clip/ribbon.

Hi, Carolina,
I just love your card - the simplicity of the pierced boundary, the smaller background dp, and cute plain paper clip with ribbon. However, when given to a friend out of the blue, it touches beyond your wildest imagination! Thanks for your ideas :)

Your card is so pretty! I love the black trim with the soft blue and the pretty pearls for the center of the flowers.
So sweet. It is so nice to send a card just to say hi.

Pretty Carolina. I always forget about certain techniques and when I see your cards I suddenly need to try them again!
