Happy Wednesday and first day of February! We'd like to welcome you to day 1 of inspiration hops for Gina K. Designs January Release! We're kicking off these series of hops with two new sets - Stately Flowers 3 and Mehndi Wishes.
Make sure to leave a comment on each blog while you are blog hopping today because we will choose two random winners from all of the comments who will each win a grab bag full of deeply etched, precut Gina K. Designs stamps! Each blog you comment on will count as an entry so you will have lots of chances if you comment on all of the blogs!
First up, is a gift set I came up with using another amazing set in the series of Stately Flowers, Stately Flowers 3 , designed by Melanie Muenchinger.
Here's a close-up of the card.
Here's how I put it together:
- Create a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" top-folding square card out of Creme de Menthe card stock.
- Using a piece of Lemon Drop card stock, cut out a square using Spellbinders die and adhere it to the card front.
- Stamp the flower and then the sentiment.
- Add pearls all around the edge of the scallops as well as in the middle of the flower.
- Tie a piece of ribbon towards the bottom and around the card front.
- Finish it off with a button on the knot (I sewed mine on, but you can always use glue).
Now here's a close-up of the hoop.
Here's how I put it together.
- On a 4" x 4" piece of canvas, stamp the flower and sentiment in the middle of the square with some StazOn ink and place it in the middle of the hoop. Secure it.
- Using embroidery floss, add a stem and leaves as well as some knots to the middle of the flower.
- Fray the edges of the canvas.
- Finish it off with some ribbon tied to the top so it can be hung.

Next up is a card with Mehndi Wishes by Rupa Shvede.
Here's how I put it together:
- Create a top-folding standard size card (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") out of white card stock.
- On a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of GKD Patterned Paper, stamp the image, and adhere it to the card front.
- Add a strip of canvas across the middle of the card front and stamp the sentiment.
- Create a bow with a brad in the middle to hold it together.
- Finish the card off by adding the bow.

Both of your cards are beautiful! The patterned paper on the second one almost looks like a loosely woven fabric with that stamp on it!!
