Welcome to Day 2 of Gina K Designs/Faber-Castell Blog Hop! We've got another incredible day of inspiration for you, so lets get started.
As you hop through the GKD blogs, make sure to leave a comment, because each day a random comment will be chosen and that stamper will receive a Gina K Designs stamp set of their choice (up to a $24.95 value)!
This project showcases my first attempt using Gelatos and I just have to say that I am in LOVE with the Gelatos - I mean seriously, where have they been my whole life?! As I saw the type of medium they were, I wanted to try them out on different textures as well as see how they blended with one another. I put a quick step-by-step tutorial to show you how this project came together.
Here's a photo of what I used:
Here's a quick list:
- Sentiment from Gina K. Designs - Season's Greetings StampTV Kit
- Faber-Castell - Aqua Dolce and Squid Ink Gelatos
- Faber-Castell - White 101 PITT artist pen
- VersaMark Water Mark Pad and Heat Gun
- White Embossing Powder
- GKD Color Companions Button
- GKD Color Companions Ribbon
- Chipboard House and button
- Glassine Bag
Step 1: Use the Faber-Castell White 101 PITT artist pen to dots all over the chipboard house piece.
Step 2: Stamp the sentiment onto the chipboard house with VersaMark and emboss it with white embossing powder.
Step 3: Add the Acqua Dolce Gelato all over the chipboard house.
Step 4: Using a dauber, blend Gelato into the chipboard house.
Step 5: Rub the Squid Ink Gelato on the edge of the chipboard house.
Step 6: Using a dauber, blend Gelato into the chipboard house.
Step 7: This is what it looks like all blended, put it aside.
Step 8: Rub the Squid Ink Gelato on the lifted sections of the chipboard button and rub it in.
Step 9: When you finish rub it in, it will look like this.
Step 10: Put the button, felt pieces and ribbon on top of chipboard button and then that on top of the tag.
Step 11: I wanted to decorate a bad and so I came up with this topper which I also used the Gelatos on and the PITT artist pen on. I used an edger punch on one of the edges and attached it to the bag after I added the baked goods inside.
Step 12: I added a bow and pearl to the top of the tag and here's a photo of the finished project again.
