Gina K. Designs September Inspiration Hop Day 2: Take Note, Wicked, and You Say Goodbye and I Say 'Ello

We're continuing these series of inspiration hops with three sets - Take Note, Wicked, and You Say Goodbye and I Say 'Ello. First up is a card using Take Note by Tami Mayberry. Here's what I came up with.

This set is perfect for journaling on scrapbook pages as well as for adding a personal note to a gift, and works just as well on cards - love the flexibility! I kept it CAS and here's how my card came together.

1. Create a top-folding standard size card out of white card stock.
2. Add a 3-3/4" by 5" piece of patterned paper and set aside.
3. Stamp the note image on white card stock, the sentiment (with black ink) and a row of hearts (with pink ink) towards the bottom of the note image. Cut it out.
4. Adhere cut out note to a slightly larger piece of Moonlight Fog card stock and it to the card front.
5. Add ribbon across the middle of card front and place pearls in the middle of each flower.
6. Add some Stickles to the middle of each heart and with that, you are done!

Next up is a card with a fun Halloween set called Wicked designed by Beth Silaika. Here's what I came up with.

Must have set for halloween. It has small images that are perfect to use when making treats. Here's how I put the card together.

1. Create a top-folding standard size card out of Sweet Mango card stock.
2. Stamp the sentiment on the bottom right corner.
3. Tie some ribbon around and towards the top of the card front. Set it aside.
4. Stamp the cauldron onto a piece of Sweet Mango card stock. Punch it out and layer it to a slightly larger circle punched out of Kraft cardstock.
5. Add dashes around the circles and pearls to for the bubbles. Adhere it ot the middle of the ribbon and with that you are done!

My last card for today features the new set You Say Goodbye and I Say 'Ello designed by Rebecca Oehlers. I had to get the travel mug inky first and here's what my card looks like.

I fell in love with this set the moment I saw it and specifically with this travel mug. Here's how my card came together.

1. Create a top-folding standard size card out of white card stock and turn it on it's side.
2. Add a piece of patterned paper to towards the top of the card front and a piece of white card stock embossed with dots (Polka Dots embossing folder) towards the bottom.
3. Adhere a strip of trim across the middle and roll two strips into flowers to place on either end. Add pearls to the middle of each flower.
4. Stamp the mug four times. Once on a piece of white card stock you are to use for your base, again on a piece of white scrap, on a piece of Ocean Mist card stock, and finally on a piece of patterned paper. 
5. Color in the smiley face and cut it out. Cut out the rest of the pieces expect for the base piece and assemble in this order: patterned paper, smiley face piece and finally the lid. Adhere the whole piece to a slightly larger piece Ocean Mist and adhere it to the card front with pop dots.
6. Add pearls on opposite corners and set it aside.
7. Stamp the speech bubble and the sentiment in the middle of it. Cut it out, adhere it to the card front with pop dots and with that, you are done!

Happy Monday and first day of October! Excited to be back from a summer hiatus to share with you some projects using the newly released Gina K. Designs stamps. Along with the Design Team for Gina K. Designs, we'd like to welcome you to another series of fabulous Inspiration Blog Hops!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! We're kicking off these series of inspiration hops with two sets - Beyond Baskets and Joyful Holiday. First up is a card using Beyond Baskets by Melanie Muenchinger. Here's what I came up with.

 

Melanie continues to amaze us with the clever containers she designs for these line of stamps. In this set, you have a variety of containers perfect for the fall. I went with this wooden bucket and here's how my card came together.

1. Create a top-folding 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" size card out of white card stock.
2. Adhere a strip of ribbon towards the top and add a flower to the right and top of the ribbon.
3. Stamp the sentiment with black ink just below the ribbon and set it aside.
4. On a piece of Kraft card stock stamp the bucket and rope. Ink both items and highlight it further with watercolor pencils. Cut them both out.
5. Behind the bucket add some raffia and adhere it to the card front.
6. Adhere the rope to the bucket with pop-dots and with that, you are done!

Next up is a card with the festive new set Joyful Holiday designed by Theresa Momber.

This set contains some really fun images perfect for the upcoming holiday season. I decided to use the ornaments for my card and here's how it came together.

1. Create a top-folding standard size card out of white card stock.
2. Stamp the ornaments and string towards the right top corner, color them in, add some stickles and finish them off with a pearl on top of the bow.
3. Adhere a strip of patterned paper towards the bottom of the card stock.
4. Stamp the greeting above the patterned paper and towards the right of the card front.
5. Add a strip of ribbon on top of the patterned paper, a pearl on each end, and with that, you are done!

We're concluding these series of inspiration hops with three sets: the new StampTV Kit, Hello Sunshine; Birthday Greetings; and the "One Free with 3" stamp set called Life's a Beach.

Here's what I came up with the Hello Sunshine StampTV set.

If you haven't picked up this set, I suggest you do because you're going to love stamping with it! Here's how my card came together

1. Create a top-folding standard size card base.
2. Add a 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" strip of patterned paper at an angle on the card front and sew it in place. Set the card base aside.
3. Stamp the image onto a piece of clear film and run it through the cuttlebug with embossing folder. Adhere it to a piece of kraft card stock with eyelets and add pearls to the middle of the flowers. Adhere it to the card front.
4. Tie a strip of ribbon around the card front at an angle and tie the ends into a bow. Set it aside.
5. On  a piece of card stock, stamp the sentiment, punch it out, and adhere it to a slightly larger oval. Add some dots around the edge, a pearl above the "i", and set an eyelet on the left end of the oval.
6. Thread a strip of ribbon through the eyelet and tie it around the bow. With that, you are done!

Next up is a card with Birthday Greetings.

This set has the most delightful greetings and it's easy to make them the ceter of attention. Here's how my card came together.

1. Create a 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" card base.
2. Add a 4" x 4" piece of patterned paper to the card front and set it aside.
3. Stamp the sentiment onto a 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of white card stock and round off the corners.
4. Cut a scalloped square using nestabilities and add the stamped square on top of that.
5. Adhere square to the middle of card front and add pearls around the scallops.
6. Finish the card off with a bow and rose in the middle of the bow.

Last, but not least, is a card with the "One Free with 3" stamp set called Life's a Beach.

It came together quite quickly - love that! Here's how:

1. Create a top-folding standard size card base.
2. Add a 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" strip of patterned paper to the bottom of the card front.
3. Tie a strip of ribbon and a bow with a felt flower in the middle of the bow towards the right of the card front.
4. Stamp the sentiment above the ribbon and set cart base aside.
5. On a wooden frame, stamp the seashells, add a bit of stickles for accents, and apply to the card base with pop-dots once they're dry. With that, you are done!
