Halloween Treat Kits ~ Sneak Peeks!

Happy Sunday! Hope you are having a nice weekend so far. I'm about to take off to take care of my nephew and niece for a couple of days while their mom and dad take a mini vacation. I'm looking forward to it, but the down side is that my stamping time will be little to none. To make up for it, I spent most of Saturday making things ahead of time so I can post them once I put them down for the night.

Didn't want to leave without sharing something with you, so for now here's sneak peek of some of halloween treat packaging I designed.

Aren't those too fun? I had a blast making them and planning on making a quick video to show you what I used on each box or bag and how I put them together - more details on that soon. I've taken individual photos of each project  and for those of you who are interested in buying kits, I'll be posting a list of everything you'll be getting in each kit. My plan is to have those posted by no later than Wednesday morning with videos to follow soon after.

Well, better get going...would hate for my sis and brother-in-law to miss their flight!

A Sketch and Another Boutique Sneak Peek

Happy very late Wednesday! I had every intention of posting this earlier but totally forgot about the smog check appointment I made for hubby's jeep, so had to take care of that first. I wanted to share with you a sample of one of the bags I've been working on but was waiting on a die from My Favorite Things. I thought it would be nice to pair it up with a card so I put one together using a newly arrive A La Mode. Here's the set I came up with.

Here's a close up of the card using this week's sketch challenge over at Splitcoast.

The adorable image and sentiment is from a newly release A la mode from My Favorite Things called, Candy Cane Kisses. I colored her with Copics, added some glitter to her candy cane, and finished it off with adding some liquid applique for snow.

The sentiment hangs from a snowflake I cut out of velvet paper using my newly arrived Trio Snowflake Die-namics I received with my VIP package.

Here's a close up of the bag, which is a sneak peek into one of the many bags I'll be offering at my boutique.

More details on this cute little bag will be added soon on my boutique. I cut it out using Stampin' Up!'s Basket & Blooms and some fleece I bought at a local craft store. Finished it off with some more snowflakes I cut out using the Snowflake Trio Die-namics die and glitter one of them up before adhering it to the bag with a pearl brad.

A CAS Christmas Card

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I peeked into this week's CAS challenge (CAS86) over at Splitcoast before heading for bed and when I saw it was a sketch challenge I had to give it a try. I'm also working on a Christmas card class and thought this was a good way to get warmed up. Here's what I came up with.

I love, love this set...can you tell?! I thought it would be fun to tuck this sweet little image from Greeting Card Kids into a pocket I made with some vellum I adhered around a piece of card stock.  I tied some Silver Tinsel Trim around the pocket and hung the mistletoe image from the Tags til Christmas set. I finished the tag off with some rhinestones.

The strip across the card front is from the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. I added some texture to the card front by running the piece of white card stock through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

Christmas Tag and a Thank You Pouch

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I'm at the home stretch with my room which means I'll have a bit more time to create. Today I'm making a quick run to Ikea in between picking dropping off and picking my nephew up from school and hope this last trip to Ikea is the last for a quite a while.

I wanted to pop in really quick and share with you a fun Christmas tag idea that's been swimming around in my head for quite a while now...in fact, since my friend Steph was able to order this set, Greeting Card Kids, for me. I also have a birthday thank you card I designed a while ago and haven't had a chance to share it with you yet. First up the tag, which is also for this week's Technique Lovers Challenge (TLC291) over at Splitcoast.

I used thought it would be fun to create a gift tag that could be used on a gift and then the recipient could save to hang on their Christmas Tree. Dressed up the tag with a bit of tinsel trim and colored the image in with Watercolor Crayons and Pencils...love doing this on Kraft, seems to pop the image a bit.

The sentiment is from the Warm Words set but can easily be substituted with any other sentiment you may have on hand.

Next up is the birthday Thank You pouches I designed for my sister to send to people for coming to my nieces birthday.

I stamped the Simple Birthday Thanks image three times - once on white card stock (I only used the frosting and cherry part); once on patterned paper (for the cupcake wrapper); and once on pink card stock (I used this piece for the back).

I added some pearls to the frosting and colored the cherry in with red and olive marker and highlighted it a bit with the white gel pen.

The sentiment, I'm sorry to say, I can't recall what set it's from...I just know it is a Stamin' Up! set, so if any of you know out there, please let me know so I can add it  to the recipe below. I stamped it on one of the tags from Lots of Tags Sizzlits 4-Pack die set.

After I finished decorating the front, I added double-sided tape to just the bottom section, the wrapper section, of the cupcake. This way it turned into a pouch. Inside my sister was able to put a little note to each recipient along with a photo of my niece.
